2021 Estate Chardonnay

Tasting Notes

Produced from our best blocks and in very limited quantities, our Estate Chardonnay is cxceptionally rich and expressive, showcasing flavors of Meyer lemon, green apple, and brioche. The palate is broad and rich, finishing with a bright streak of acidity bringing the wine into perfect harmony.

Vineyard Notes

The grapes come from head trained Chardonnay vines planted nearly 35 years ago, atop a North facing slope where our signature volcanic soil is shallow and rocky.

Winemaker Notes

The wine is made using traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques which while labor intensive result in the highest expression of this noble grape. After being hand picked and whole cluster pressed, the juice is moved to French oak barrels for fermentation and aging. The wine goes through 100% malolactic fermentation, monthly bâtonnage, and 12 months of lees aging.
