Lovers Leap Port
Tasting Notes
Crafted in a fortified style that reflects our high-elevation, volcanic terroir, this wine balances richness with vibrancy. Moderately sweet, it opens with aromas of dark berries, baking spice, and a hint of cocoa. The palate is dense and structured, with layered blackberry fruit, supple tannins, and lively acidity that brings energy and lift. Built with both power and balance, this wine has the structure to evolve gracefully for decades.
Vineyard Notes
This non-vintage port is a blend of estate-grown Dolcetto and Barbera sourced from our high-elevation vineyards. The combination highlights the natural intensity and acidity of these varieties, well-suited to fortified winemaking. A multi-vintage approach, incorporating barrels aged for more than a decade alongside younger components, brings together the depth and complexity of extended aging with the freshness and vibrancy of recent harvests.
Winemaker Notes
Our fortified program continues to develop with each release, guided by a focus on balance, structure, and ageworthiness. Produced from a 50% Dolcetto and 50% Barbera blend, the wine is built through a solera-inspired system that integrates multiple vintages, enhancing both complexity and continuity over time.
Bottled in 500 mL format and sealed with a reusable stopper, this wine remains remarkably stable after opening and can be enjoyed over the course of several months.
