Tasting Notes

This is the first port ever release by Lava Cap, and true to our high elevation Alpine terroir and volcanic soil, the wine combines richness and vibrancy to deliver an exceptional wine. Moderately sweet, our port has rich tannins are met with aromas of dark berries and spice, followed by dense blackberry and lively acidity in the mouth. It has ample structure to age for decades to come.

Vineyard Notes

Our non-vintage port is a blend of multiple vintages of Estate Barbera. With barrels dating back over 10 years, this blend brings together the rich flavors of long aged port, with the vibrant fruit from newer vintages.

Winemaker Notes

500ml bottles sealed with a reusable stopper, once this wine is opened it can be consumed without spoiling for a couple of months.
