Lava Cap Rocks Summer Music Series Featuring Hickory Wind

July 24, 2021

WALKUP TICKETS ONLY AFTER 5PM FRIDAY, JULY 23RD!

Music in the vineyard on Saturday, July 24th from 5pm-8pm, featuring Hickory Wind. Tickets are free for Wine Club members (up to 4), and $10 for the general public. Picnics are encouraged. Come grab a bottle of your favorite wine and watch the sunset from our patio and lawn!

Hickory Wind's Americana sound draws mostly from their country and folk roots with influences of bluegrass, rock-a-billy, classic country standards, roots and a touch of blues and rock. In addition to appealing to traditional country style music fans, this fun loving energetic sound also appeals to those not necessarily attracted to country music. That being said, the “Hickory Wind” sound would be familiar to anyone who knows the music of Emmylou Harris and the Hot Band, the Byrds, and Graham Parsons. Centered around the lovely and distinctive voice of Cheryll Kent, Hickory Wind is known for its tight vocals and tasty instrumental leads. Typically a five piece band, they also perform as a duo or trio with Cheryll Kent on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Fred Kent on bass and vocals, (the duo), Jamie Faw on drums, and depending on the requirements of the occasion, drawing the remainder of the band from the likes of Hall of Fame member Dave Wren on pedal steel, Steve Schultz of “Merry Gold” on accordion, Steve Johnson of “Old West Trio” on acoustic lead guitar, Larry Park on electric guitar, Hall of Fame member Conrad Nelson on guitar, harmonica, mandolin or fiddle, and/or others sitting-in as the gig requires.

We have a limited number of tickets, which will be available until sold out. Tickets can be purchased at the door if still available, however to ensure your spot, we encourage you to purchase your ticket ahead of time.
