2025 Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Notes
A vibrant and expressive Sauvignon Blanc, the 2025 shows notes of crushed rock, pear, fresh grass, lychee, and honeydew. On the palate, it delivers bright flavors of tropical fruit and citrus, followed by a refreshing, lively finish.
Vineyard Notes
The Sauvignon Blanc comes from one of our oldest blocks, planted adjacent to the winery on shallow soils. These gnarled old vines—now nearly 40 years old—consistently produce vibrant, expressive fruit. We grow a distinctive Musqué clone, imported from France’s Gironde in the 1960s, noted for its tropical aromatics and exceptional complexity, setting it apart from more common Sauvignon Blanc selections.
Winemaker Notes
Fermentation is carried out with selected yeast at low temperatures over an extended period. The wine is aged on fine lees in stainless-steel tanks and acacia barrels for four months prior to bottling, with no malolactic fermentation.
