The quality of fruit this year is excellent, with small, concentrated berries. As across much of California, harvest is a couple of weeks ahead of what is typical in the region, and yields are slightly less than in years past. Fires, which have plagued Amador and Calaveras counties to the south have left us largely free of smoke, minus a couple days last week. The leaves are starting to change color on the vines as the weather cools off. Exciting time to come visit us in our tasting room!
