2020 Gamay Noir

Tasting Notes
Bright, with notes of cranberry, cherry, and rhubarb, this wine is vibrant and expressive.
Vineyard Notes
In California, the grape is uncommon but has found a home in the high elevation granitic soils of El Dorado County. This wine comes from the Barsotti Vineyard, which is around 2 miles from the Lava Cap’s Estate at 2,800ft, where the grapes thrive on a cool outcropping of decomposed granite. These grapes, planted between 2005 and 2015, are some of the first true Gamay Noir planted in California.
Winemaker Notes
Picked at lower sugars, and fermented with the goal of preserving the grapes signature bright aromatics, this is a perfect accompaniment a holiday dinner.
